Riso Printer Project – A joint collaboration between Connecting Tanzania and the Moshi School District. CT donated the printer and the district provides the resources for paper, toner and distribution.
Assessments are critical to improving education, but schools in developing countries do not have the resources to properly assess students on a regular basis. The Riso Printer Project involved providing a high speed printer that allows Moshi School District to print and administer assessments on a monthly basis. The additional feedback allows teachers to better prepare students and helps motivate students to study for the National Exams. With the additional information on student performance the Moshi District improved the Primary School Pass Rate from 93% to 98% in 2020. Two hundred additional children will go on to receive secondary education. Congratulations.
